This theme is great, i realy want to move from carbon, just missing this feature..

if at:
PHOTO :: Hover photo Navigation (select position - incompatible with image "fading in" for I.E.)
you select Do not show does it work?

I did this, and it still won't show the Side Menu

Ok, I removed everything having to do with this theme and then reinstalled it all, and the side menu still will not show up. I no longer get the Java Error, just no menu...

What is the option you selected to use with mouse right click, and what blocks did you select to sidebar?

Ok, I found it... apparently when I upgraded to the latest version of this theme, it removed all the blocks I had setup. I set them back up and now it's working great :D

Love this theme, it's so gorgeous and powerful!

I have a question -- is it possible to have the description for the album show up somewhere on photo pages? I don't see that option anywhere.

For now it's not possible, but i could work on it.

Thanks for letting me know! I will adjust things on my end, but consider this my vote for that feature at some point :)

I must be missing something here... is it not possible to have the title/description of each album beside the album thumbnail (my thumbs are only in one column) on the first page of the gallery?

The "ALBUM - 1st Page :: Show Title on 1st page of the Gallery (select position)" options seem to refer to the main gallery's title/description, and the "ALBUM :: other pages" options do not take effect for the first page.

I can't seem to get any of the blocks to appear...they do in other themes, but not in x_treme. I'm assuming that there's some setting I'm overlooking that is preventing them from showing. I can't get the sidebar to appear, regardless of the block chosen. Is there something I need to enable to do this?

Hi, I just installed the theme and have a little problem. I get a lot of css displayed at the top of the page.
loogink at the code in the browser it looks like this:

#topNavBar td.SystemLinks span a, #topNavBar td.SystemLinks a {font-size: 1.0em !important;}

a.iconLogo img{
width: 175px;
height: 50px;
background: url(themes/x_treme/templates/extra/logos/logo.png) left top no-repeat;

so the seems to be misplaced. I removed the at the bottom of styles.tpl and then it worked.

I have the same problem. You can see it here: http://laskonka.com/fotky

Anybody of you friends knows the solution for this?

Am I correct in assuming that this theme doesn't allow users to download an image? (I know, I know, there's no REAL way to prevent a user from saving an image; it's in his cache, if nowhere else.) When I right-click on the full-sized image, the option is there to save the image, but when I choose that, nothing happens.

If this IS the case, and it's intentional, then I'm very happy with the theme. It's something a user of mine has been requesting for his work. I can easily set that as the theme for his album, but I'd like to use the theme throughout the gallery, where people ARE allowed to download images. Please let me know if I'm correct in this assumption? I'm using Linux and Firefox, but is it not protected in IE7?

Unless you actually turn off the right-click menu (it's in the theme options) then users can download images. This can be done on an per album basis though.

Just check for the below setting in your Album->Theme settings
GLOBAL :: Mouse Right Click action

At first, I would like to thank Pedro Gilberto for his excellent work on this theme. It's really great! I'm playing with it over two days and I'm still not finished. But I also found some problems. At first, I found that there is probably a missing "Add Comment" icon in the static comment block placed under the photo. I can click inside the right-top corner of the comment block and I even see tooltip text above the missing icon (displaying "Add a Comment" text). But there is no "Add Comment" icon visible..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07202/comment.jpg[/img]

I've also found, that if there is already a comment assigned to a photo, the "Add Comment" button does not work on IE. It simply reports a JavaScript error.

I got this error immediately after page load (photo with comment)..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07202/javaerror_1.jpg[/img]

And this is the error I got after clicking the "Add Comment" button (either the one in top navigation toolbar or in static comment block..the one with missing icon)..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07202/javaerror_1.jpg[/img]

Here is an example page (just a test gallery)..
http://www.kudrys.com/gallery/v/BW/P2090528_bw_crop.jpg.html

Both things works fine with PGlightbox theme. So apparently, there is something fixed. But unfortunately, I know zero to nothing about theme editing to fix both problems myself ;)

BTW, there is a "captcha" feature in "Add Comment" dialog, it's visible only in IE? Why there is no such feature visible in Firefox too?

Best regards,
Pavel

It seems I found another x_treme theme problem. The option "PHOTO :: Show Ratings (select position)" seem does not have any effect on the position/visibility of the Rating box. No matter what value I set, it stays where it is. I also noticed, that disabling "PHOTO :: Show Information (select position to display options selected above)" disables also displaying the Rating. But if I set for example "On TOP" position, it moves only the "Size" box on top of the page and the Rating box disappears.

In other words, it seems the option "PHOTO :: Show Information (select position to display options selected above)" overrides the "PHOTO :: Show Ratings (select position)" but not entirely. No matter what I set in these two colliding options, I'm not able to get the Rating box on top of the page (page header).

Here is my actual settings in xtreme..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07203/rating.jpg[/img]

This is what I got..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07203/xtreme.jpg[/img]

..and this is what I got with the same settings in PGlightbox (exactly what I want)..
[img]http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07203/pglightbox.jpg[/img]

Thank you in advance for looking on this!

Dear all.

I am so far that I think that I can publish my site for the public. There are some minor things but oke. One thing is the flashplayer (buiild in) and the xtreme theme. At the moment I have reinstalled for the albums with flv's the Hybrid theme and than it is working fine. But as mentioned by someone else allready if I am using the xtreme theme the player does not show correctly.I have tried several things but the player is simply to big to fit in a thumbnail. Is there anybody who can help me out with this.

Also has Xtreme problems with gif and bmp files in the album picture. Not when I am in the album but for a strange reason it does noet build up a thumb for the album. Am I doing something wrong or is there realy a problem here.

Like to hear

Dear all,

Who can help me out, all of the sudden I do not have any icons anymore on the photopage.

For exampla last week I had a button for send an ecard its gone. I had a navigation button when I had more than 20 thumbs gone.

I have tried out fading in photo's but I deselected that again while I am using the hybride theme for my albums with flv movies. Can that be the problem.

Is there anyone out there how can help me out ??

Help is much appreciated

Frans

After playing around for some time with X-treme theme, I solved most of the issue's stumbled over. One thing I would like to change is the page between the Gallery startpage and the last page with the thumbnails beside a picture. In most cases I believe this is used for subalbums. But I don’t have subalbums so is there a way to skip this page?

http://muurvaren.nl

EDIT
Never mind, it's right there: ALBUM - Global :: Link Albums directly to photo pages.

Can't believe I missed that... :(

Having index issues with x_treme, I understand the active one is a embedded issue but the others are unique to x_treme as matrix doesn't have the issue.

@schwos - Do you have URL Rewrite activated? If Yes try again after deactivating this option.

Muurvaren,

I disable URL Rewrite and the results continue; if I have URL Rewrite enabled and turn on Matrix theme the error go away:

This is the output from the URL Rewrite disabled:

Notepad in Windows and textedit on a Mac. HTML editors are not a good idea as the tpl file is just a text file and not HTML.

hi,

i made an upgrade to 1.0.2 today and i had lot's of problems with it :-(
the first thing: the problem with the hoover-thumbs at the photopage for forward/backward are still not clickable in IE7.0 or IE6.0, it still only works in FireFox :-(
the problem with the frames for album-thumbs still exists in IE6.0 (have a look at http://elias.kiwi.at/~elias/gallery2/main.php )
then the worst thing, since i made the upgrade there is some code written at the bottom of the page, therefore the page is a few centimeter moved down...
the code is the following:
a.iconLogo img{ width: 175px; height: 50px; background: url(themes/x_treme/templates/extra/logos/logo.png) left top no-repeat; } a.iconLogo:hover img{ background: url(themes/x_treme/templates/extra/logos/logo_hover.png) left top no-repeat; } .opacityT img{ filter: alpha(opacity=100); } .opacityT:hover img{ filter: alpha(opacity=60); } .opacityT { -moz-opacity: 1; opacity: 1; -khtml-opacity:1; } .opacityT:hover { -moz-opacity: 0.6; opacity: 0.6; -khtml-opacity:0.6; } .MTclass img{ filter:alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity: 0.5; opacity: 0.5; -khtml-opacity:0.5; } .MTclass:hover img{ filter:alpha(opacity=100); -moz-opacity: 1; opacity: 1; -khtml-opacity:1; } .thumbSmall, .thumbSmall:hover { border: 1px solid !important; }

i love this theme and i want to thank you for all this hard work!!!! but please help...should i step back to the old version 1.0.1?

thanks,
elias.

Is there a way to make the micro thumbs for this theme square while keeping all other thumbnails the standard rectangle shape?

I first want to re act on my own earlier posting about icons, I found out that I had two conflicting options about showing cart options on album page and photo page. Now its working.

I also downloaded the latest upgrade of the theme and as by eliasgruber it messedup everything for me. I could not even use the theme anymore and had to install an other theme to find out that under settings xtreme was gone. I could not chose it anymore. I do not know where it went wrong so I put back the old one and it is working again. Are more people having this problem or similar ? because than I know that it has nothinf to do with me and hope that a new release will solve thies problem with this great theme. Alltough I am very happy as it is, it would be great to use these theme also for my video's.

Like to hear,

Frans

When you install the updated versions of this theme, you must run through the Gallery upgrader after uploading all the files.

I have recently upgraded to v1.02 and I have had no problems, with IE6, IE7 or FireFox. Something might have gotten missed when you uploaded the new files?

i know, i ran through the upgrader, before the theme would'nt work at all! if you go at my side ( http://elias.kiwi.at/~elias/gallery2/ ) then you'll see (if you choose "view sourcecode" that there is a mess with all the tags in the source. the tag /style is closed more than one time but it's opened only one time :-(

i upgraded in the following way: i copied all the new files from the tar.gz-file from 1.0.2 over the old one's, then i ran the upgrader and afterwards i had this problemes...

thanks for help!

Dragonsys, with me it did the trick I copied all the files over the existing xtreme dir and went through the upgrader and everything is working except for the video's

At least not for all the video's but that can has something to do with my settings. i will look into that.

Its all working now. I found out that after installing the latest upgrade still some files were missing from out the package so I downloaded once more and overwrite the present directory and once again upgrade and also the video player is working as I expected it.

great

eliasgruber -

Have you tried this?

dracula wrote:
Hi, I just installed the theme and have a little problem. I get a lot of css displayed at the top of the page.
loogink at the code in the browser it looks like this:

#topNavBar td.SystemLinks span a, #topNavBar td.SystemLinks a {font-size: 1.0em !important;}

a.iconLogo img{
width: 175px;
height: 50px;
background: url(themes/x_treme/templates/extra/logos/logo.png) left top no-repeat;

so the seems to be misplaced. I removed the at the bottom of styles.tpl and then it worked.

That was a problem in 1.01, but I thought he fixed it with 1.02...

Didn't find a hint for that: If I upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2, will the current settings for the albums be kept or will they be overwritten by new defaults?

First of all let me say what a nice looking theme Xtreme is. Top work Pedro :o)

I'm a total n00b to Gallery2 and have tried searching on the forums but with no joy so my apologies
if I'm re-asking some questions..... but....

1 - How and where do I change the setting to get the microthumbs on the right hand side of the albums?

2 - I already have a test webpage that shows pics. Ideally I'd like to incorporate the albums into
this site - actually within a DIV section (or a Table).

Is this possible? Are there any examples out there of this approach.

Best Regards to all,

Dave

Yes, you can use the Image Block to do this.

Here is an example - http://www.skylightwftx.com

Greetings. I really like Extreme theme. http://www.widget.me.uk/gallery2/main.php

However

I get an error in this line of code:

But only when in IE7 - Firefox doesn't report this.
I was **trying** to investigate why my IE7 doesn't refresh images from webcams - but maybe you've got a comment on that too?

Any thoughts?

Hi,

like for most of you, the X_treme theme is one of the best themes I ever saw, but there is one issue I don't know how to fix.

I have an album "X" with 2 subalbums "A" and "B", however, when I go to the gallery and click on the thumb/link of album "X" it will show me only the first album of it -> album "A", there is no album "B" to choose, but when I hit the breadcrumb album "X", I see both subalbums.

What I found out:
the hyperlink of the thumb/link on album "X" is "http://www.domain.xx/gallery2/main.php/v/"album X"/?g2_enterAlbum=1"
the hyperlink of the breadcrumb on album "X" is "http://www.domain.xx/gallery2/main.php/v/"album X"/?g2_highlightId=113"

^^ So where can I tell the theme not only to enter/show the FIRST subalbum, but show me all?
Btw. with other themes I don't have that problem, so it must be a themeproblem or configproblem of me :)

EDIT: Shame on me, or maybe I'm too tired right now, I read the Themeconfig again and again, but now that I read it over again I found "ALBUM - Global :: Link Albums directly to photo pages" was set to "clicking on thumbnail" instead of "none"....

Problem solved, I have to get sleep....

@Pedro
Keep up the good work!!!

Hi folks,

Dragonsys - thanks for first answer / still trying to customise and find out about imageblocks. The forums are great but documentation is all over the place here :S

Anyways, another question. When I select an album, I want to go directly to the Photos page which shows the main photo and the microthumbnails for navigation
purposes. Is there a simple way to do this. If so I may get to design a photography website and I'll be promoting more users to this fine community! - kiss ass bit over ;)

Thanks in advance,

Dave

let me make sure I am understanding you correctly...

When you click onthe image for the image block you want it to open directly to that image in the gallery? If so, then this is actually the default method for the image block. I edited mind so that it always goes to the main album in the Gallery instead of the image.

As for dcoumentation on how to use the image block, if you go to your Site Admin, then click on the link for Image Block on the left side of the Admin screen, it shows how to use it on that screen. If you are still wanting/needing help, just send me a message, I wil help as much as I can.

This isn't really a theme issue, though, so we might want to take it out of this thread to avoid any confusion.

Okay, so I see this error when going to the Guru's own website.

Does anyone else see this?
(To see the error switch off "ignore errors" in Explorer.)

Well, Since xtreme doesn't appear to refresh images correctly when they are marked as webcam, I've moved all web cams into a more standard theme which behaves okay with rapid refresh content.

Do others on the list experience lack of refresh on webcam content, or have you fixed it somehow?

I would like to revert to Xtreme if I can!

Hoping PG is listening?

Thanks again Dragonsys but I think I didn't explain myself properly.

Now though I have a simple example online :)

http://www.malton-webdesign.co.uk/photography/gallery2/

this shows the default Xtreme front page. I have one album loaded. "Mr & Mrs Smith".

When you click on the album from this page you go to a photos page (1), then if you click on one of these
photos you are taken to that photo with all the thumbnails to then navigate by (2).

What I want to do is when on the first page and I choose the album, I want to move directly to the 1st photo in the album
on page (2) with the thumbnails to then navigate by, thereby missing out the middle part of the process (1).

I hope this makes sense and someone can help me :)

Thanks and warm regards,

Dave
