pedro i upgraded to 1.03 and noticed that there is some weirdness with the mouseovers for the thumbnails
when you mouseover the slightly lighter version of the thumbnail the piece does not cover the full size of the thumbnail
im not sure if this makes sense so maybe the link will help

I'm working on fixing some bugs as they are being reported but haven't the time to release a new version.

Attached is un upgrade to X_treme(1.0.4 beta version):
* fixed the bug reported as well as the ie error when not showing sidebar
* added revuar fix
* added Dominik Kaeser fix (full size image popup didn't display correctly after applying rotations or translations,space betwen separator and link on top menu)
* some changes in order to clean localization on theme.inc
* added an option to show or not the email link on footer copyright message
* changed module.tpl, now it shows the image block only for comments
* added class "xtremeFrameLink" to links at xtreme frame

drivindiso, my last only works with no colorpacks now it should work - at theme.css you can change it:
#gsContent td.xtremeFrameLink a {color: #666 !important;}
#gsContent td.xtremeFrameLink a:hover {color: #444 !important;}

Pedro,

Do you know if anyone has or if you plan adding lightbox functionality to the xtreme theme?
I had attempted it myself but somehow i crash my gallery when ever i have two instances of the xtreme theme on my server.

Ok, it started working, after I completely deleted all the cache (template & DB) and optimized the DB.

---------

I upgraded to X_Treme Theme v1.0.4

Now my sidebar will not stay open. When I Rightclick it appears, but as soon as I let go of the right mouse button, it disappears.

I upgraded to 1.0.4 the other day. I thought all was well, but then I checked things out in IE 6.0 (I normally use Firefox) and realized something was wrong. It seems in this version you added a fix for IE's horrible PNG support, thank you for that one! However, that fix is causing my gallery to run *very* slow in IE (still runs great in Firefox). In the IE statusbar, every time I load a page, it says "(x items remaining)" where x can be anywhere up to 2,000+ depending on the complexity of the page. Most pages take up to 20 seconds to render, and IE is frozen the entire time. Also, while this IE PNG fix seems to work on the Admin page and Main page, it stops working on all sub-albums and photo pages (the PNGs look like crap again). When I remove the fix from theme.tpl, this slow IE problem goes away after a few refreshes. So to summarize, thank you for including the IE PNG fix, but now I have 2 questions/bugs:

1. Why does it make IE so slow?
2. Why doesn't it work for all pages?

My gallery is www.brianrondeau.com/gallery/ but for now I have the PNG fix removed to keep things speedy for IE users. If you like, I can re-enable it, just let me know.

Thanks Pedro!

I use to be able to right click on a photo and set it as background (Windows and IE) or save it. Just wondering how i can turn this back on, especially if you make the photo full size ?

oh, and i have the "GLOBAL :: Mouse Right Click action" set to floating plus context menu, just doesn't seem to work when you click to view photo full size !!

It's x-treme 1.0.2

Thanks.

I would upgrade to v1.0.4 or 1.0.3
I think that was one of the known issues with 1.0.2

In theme.tpl, you can remove or comment out this section:

/* IE5.5+ PNG Alpha Fix */
img, #xlogo {behavior: url(themes/x_treme/iepngfix.htc) }

Using the latest theme (1.0.4) in a fresh installed multisite environment.
Experience problems with the hover navigation in the photo's.

The thumbs are always visible in the picture and not like normal left en richt vertical below eachother.
The navigation action seems to work fine and switching the to none (admin panel) just ends this problem.

EDIT... I removed everything again and discovered the repository version probably downgraded some things before.. Now it seems to work.

You might try flushing the template cache and hitting Ctrl-F5 a few times to force IE to refresh. If that doesn't do it, then I'm not sure! Truthfully, I only recently converted to G2, so I don't know much about it or the template system. Hopefully Pedro is tinkering with it in the background (hint hint) ;)

No, all maintenance and browser tricks seem to have no effect.
Using Firefox myself but knowing most people don't I now wil use the carbon theme till this IE problem is found en fixed.
Also downgrading the theme doesn't seem to be a solid option.

Sollution? Whole world using firefox or a bug fix somewhere...

This is not a X_treme specific issue but to do with permissions for the comment module. Click on edit permissions and allow the group "Everybody" to add and view comments.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

Let me add my kudos for a beautiful theme.

Just a quick question, though - I have the mod Display New Items activated, and in Matrix, it shows the "New" in both the album views and the photo, but in Xtreme, which I really want to use, the only place I can see it is if I click on the tiny box in the corner of the image, and my client is never going to go for that. In fact he'll want to eliminate that little "i" altogether. So, how do I display the "New" under the thumbnail on the album and in the desciption of the photo?

(Please, please let it be simple!!)

Thanks,
Melissa

I have worked to get caught up in the thread. I am certain is has been mentioned and didn't see it, but....

There is a thin line through the top of album item images. I've looked at other people;s sites and the same top bar, which appears to be part of an 'info' overlay, is there as well. You can see an example of it at da.giph.net

Anyone know of a solution to get rid of this thin bar at the top of album and image items? I've tried various settings but have not discovered the right combination yet.

I have x_treme v 1.04.

Also, the theme is looking fantastic. Excellent in all respects.

tx, drh

I don't see this? Maybe you can do a screen snap and circle what you reference?

Or tell me where it appears on my site? Specifically.

thanks

Now, this is interesting. I have several systems that use Mozilla/Firefox and Opera. Plus, other people report the samne behavior. However, I just went to a Windows machine and ran I.E., and I do *not* see this. Hmmm.

I am added this link which is a screenshot, and admittedly small, of the view. Single pic, and you will see a black line through the top. This exists in every browser I use, and as mentioned, others see it too. But to my surprise, I.E. does not show this??

Again, using the latest FireFox or IE on Vista, on an Ubuntu Linux unit using Firefox, or an OS-X box running Safari or Firefox I don't see any such line?

Sorry, wish I could help.

I'll be honest though maybe it is the size of your posted link, I don't see it there either?

No probs on not seeing hence offering a solution. I'd say it may be an Ubuntu issue as these are the platforms I run with predominately, especially after viewing it under a Win box with I.E. where it looked fine. Except at a Windows based print lab, they see the same problem, and someone who came into their shop with a laptop, running Windows, also saw this black line through the top. I have enlarged one of the images at the following URL. View the largest version of the last image and I have circled the three lines in question. I have seen these on more different machines than I have not seen them. I'd like to be able to pin it on an Ubuntu environment, but not after three additional Windows machines at the print lab produced the same view. And this on two different G2 builds on separate servers.

http://da.giph.net/albums/d/97-2/Screenshot1.png

Oh well... I'll keep trying settings in XTreme and see if I can remove that overlay that appears to be an "Info" pop up.

tx for responding tho. All communications help.

I goofed up the link. Here is URL and the last pic can be enlagred to show what I mean by a black line at the top of each item:

Hello. Yes, it appears on ports and landscapes. It now appears to eb isolated to Opera only, in Ubuntu in my environments. But I did note that it appeared at a printer lab, on Windos machines as well. I will return and verify that this indeed happens in a non Opera but Windows environment. Probably best to let it just sit unless I can indeed validate this.

tx for the responses.

First thank you Pedro for this great theme !

But I've a problem with keywords albums links...
When I create a keyword album, like :
http://www.alsace-en-photos.com/gallery2/gallery2embedded.php?g2_view=keyalbum.KeywordAlbum&g2_keyword=No%C3%ABl
I've got a problem with the "numbers" links in the bottom of the page, they link to the main page, not to the keyword album.
The "next" & "previous" icons work fine...
For the page number "2", it's this link :
http://www.alsace-en-photos.com/gallery2/gallery2embedded.php?g2_view=core%3AShowItem&g2_itemId=&g2_page=2
For the icon "next page :
http://www.alsace-en-photos.com/gallery2/gallery2embedded.php?g2_view=keyalbum.KeywordAlbum&g2_keyword=No%C3%ABl&g2_page=2

With other theme, I don't have this problem.

Any ideas to solve this ?

Sorry for my bad english, I think if you go on my webpage you will certenly better understand the problem...

Thank a lot
Nico

I don't know, I made some tests and it's working for me, see my site...

What's the $Revision for your photo.tpl?
Should be 1246 form X_treme version 1.0.4 and 1.0.5

I see you have x_treme 1.0.4b probably your photo.tpl revision is 1127, if so you should update

pedro

i upgraded to 1.05 and both problems still exist.
I did notice that the mouseover piece works fine in IE but not in FF.

FULL SIZE image popup still does not work.
I will be happy to create a dev album for you where you would have permission to view a full size image.

let me know what other items i can provide to help you troubleshoot.

Hi Pedro,

at first I will thank you so much for this overwhelming theme! Can you let me know if it is possible to get the PHOTO centered?

If you would be so kind to go to my site - you'll understand what I'm talking about...

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Is this embedded install? Stand alone Gallery installation gives you this error too?
Analyzing html it's a strange code with too many errors duplicated Body tags and DOCTYPE declarations!???

i am not sure what you mean by embedded install.
All I know at this point is that both of these pieces worked in 1.03.
I know for a fact that other users were seeing issues with the full size pop up earlier in this thread.

You can't use an external image as a logo or a banner, you should create an html file with the <img src="http://www.sarahbradenphotography.com.au/development%20files/images/main_header.jpg"> tag, put it under "themes/x_treme/templates/extra/banners/" and at admin page put the "name.ext" of the file.

If you have configured the theme this way at an album, go to parent album and at edit album page, at theme tab select " Use this theme in all subalbums" and same theme settings.

If you configures all gallery that way you have to delete X_treme folder, gallery will ask you to select another theme, do it.
Then install X_treme again.

I see you have x_treme 1.0.4b probably your photo.tpl revision is 1127, if so you should update

Check your photo.tpl please, it's not Revision 1246, there's a piece of yours html:

Quote:
'width=' + w + ', height=' + h + ', ' +
'location=no, menubar=no, ' +
'status=no, toolbar=no, scrollbars=yes, resizable=no');
win.moveTo(0,0);
win.resizeTo(w, h);

it should be:

Quote:
'width=' + wscreen + ', height=' + hscreen + ', ' +
'location=no, menubar=no, ' +
'status=no, toolbar=no, scrollbars=yes, resizable=no');
win.moveTo(0,0);
win.resizeTo(wscreen, hscreen);

* Did you use "x_treme_pack_upgrade_1.0.5" to upgrade? it's only to upgrade from 1.0.4 not from 1.0.4b or older versions, use full_pack.
* Do you have a photo.tpl local file?
