Gallery 1.4.4-pl1 is now Available!

Gallery v1.4.4-pl1 is an update to Gallery 1.4.4 to resolve several issues found after the release. Most of these issues are fairly minor, and the one security issue fixed in this release requires a fairly unusual Gallery configuration and a bit of effort to exploit (Read more to see if you are vulnerable). This is still a recommended upgrade due to the bug fixes, but if you want to keep your Gallery secure without a full upgrade, a small patch to fix that issue is available separately.

Language Packs for Gallery 1.4.4

Major improvement is the better handling of plurals for languages that do not use the same way as english does. E.g. russian, japanese, hungary or french.
Not all languages are 100% finished, so feel free to send me updates.

July Gallery Developer of the Month

We are starting something new this month, A "Gallery Developer of The Month." It's not an award for doing the best work or being the coolest or anything like that, but we hope to share a little bit about the Gallery team with the world. There are more than a few developers on the core team and without the help of all of them, Gallery wouldn't be the project that it is. Given that Gallery 2 is right around the corner, it seems appropriate to get the Gallery 1 developers "out of the way" before they all become G2 developers, so to start off this series is the July Gallery Developer of The Month, Jay Rossiter aka Signe, Gallery 1.x Lead Developer.
