Replacement for Gallery 3 ?

With the announcement from the Gallery team (Thank you for your years of work!) that Gallery is going in to hibernation, it is sadly time to look for a replacement.

What other photo gallery software, products, or most likely in today's cloud/SaaS world, sites/services, do you recommend as a replacement for Gallery3? (And, especially, ones to which Gallery 3 content can be migrated without enormous manual effort)?

thanks,

I think Serge D covered this topic well - see http://galleryproject.org/node/113163

Thanks spags. Somehow I missed that when I searched for "migrate" before.

Is there a similar discussion in more detail for hosted/cloud/SaaS photo albums? I don't like any of the ones already listed... :-}

Not that I am aware of, but I'm probably not the best one to answer that (I opt to refrain from such services - I'll control my own data thanks). From memory the link that Serge D posted in that post did mention some cloud services, but refrained from those as well (presumably for the same sort of reason as mine). Hopefully others will reply here with their own discoveries.
