It's a girl!

The Gallery development team has grown by one! Aliana Shanti Mediratta was born on Thursday 4/17 at 3:30 in the afternoon. I am pleased to report that mother and daughter are happy and healthy. At birth Aliana tipped the scales at 7lbs 10oz and was 20 inches long. I intend to have her writing new Gallery features by 2006.Thus far she's been a very calm and happy little baby. Naturally we think she's adorable. My son Cole (1.5 years old) spent a record breaking five minutes being excited about his "baby dista" before going back to his regular routine of being excited about trucks, airplanes and choo choo trains.

Of course, there are already pictures in my Gallery. You can see them here:

Feel free to add your comments to the photos!

P.S. No this doesn't mean I'm gonna stop working on Gallery. Yes, it does mean that I'm going to be busy with other stuff for a while!

Hey, congratulations! I think I can forgive you for taking some time off from developing Gallery, but I expect your daughter will make up for it by contributing herself in a few years :). Glad everything went okay,
Congratulations. Kids are awesome, I’m just glad I’m not the one with two under two. 8-)

I just learned that #3 is on the way myself. I like to put a two year spread on them it seems.

Wow! Congratulations! Welcome to the club.. heheh.. I joined it too about 2 months ago. You think you know what to expect, but then when they are in your arms for the first time, it finally hits you; and there was no way to know until then what it would feel like.
Many would think that Bharat will be facing a lot of downtime on the mundane things because of the adjustment to the new addition; I think however the midnight oil coding is the best :) It's amazing what I've accomplished at 3 a.m. with a bouncy chair and a happy baby..

Good luck in the first six weeks!
