bashil,

Try D:/MSAS/http_root/www/Mambo452/components/com_gallery2/

I had to swap \ for / to get my install working.

I have upgraded to the latest beta4 (0.9.32) version of Gallery2 and reinstalled the component again. While Gallery2 works fine now that I've disabled short urls in Mambo and standalone (thanks!) I still receive the

Quote:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/feliciac/public_html/mambo2/administrator/components/com_gallery2/admin.gallery2.html.php on line 241

error when viewing user management (no new users added to the component view although they existing in gallery2 admin)

Would anyone have any suggestions for this? :)

Thanks in advance ^^

I am a complete noobie to all of this. I tried reading all the posts in this forum but your vocabulary doesnt make much sense.. hehe

I just installed Mambo 4.5.2. and downloaded the Gallery2 component. I then installed the component. Now I'm trying to figure out the full path to Gallery G2 in the config. I looked at my root directory (httpdocs) and I don't see a gallery 2. I tried putting in /httpdocs/administrator/components/com_gallery2 and it didn't work.

Please help!

redline,

you have to install galley2 also, it isn't installed by installing the component.

mosey,
The user manager doesn't show the gallery2 accounts but shows he mambo user base and checks if the exist in G2 user base, not the other way around?

Thanks michael. I unzipped gallery to to my hardrive and transferred it via ftp.

Now I'm having trouble finding the "full path to Gallery G2".

In mambo, when you go to install components, in my install directory it says:

/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_installer/component

And so i tried entering /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/gallery2

But it still says incorrect....

Any help would be appreciated!! thanks

michiel...

I put it under httpdocs... so the gallery2 folder is with other folders such as administrator, cache, components, editor, etc.

I tried the slash and it didn't work.

I noticed from reading previous posts that most people try entering with "/home/" Do I have to start with this too?

Thanks.

First of all I instaled Gallery2 and it works fine. I added some albuns and pictures and it's OK. After this I installed Mambo and installed Gallery2 component. All works fine.
Sudenly all my Gallery2 is down. I can see the 3 albuns when I go to standalone adress but when I try to see my Gallery2 inside Mambo the page is redirecined to frontpage.
I'll explain better. When I put the mouse over Gallery menu link I see http://www.mysite.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=2. But when I click menu I'm redirected to http://www.mysite.com/index.php. It's same as frontpage.
What happened? I'm using the last version of Mambo, Gallery2 and component.

Mambo install: www.lidioparente.fot.br
Standalone install: www.lidioparente.fot.br/gallery2

Some settings
Full Path to Gallery G2: /home/parente/public_html/gallery2/
Relative path to Gallery G2: gallery2
Path to Mambo: /
embedUri: /index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=2
Login page redirect: /index.php

This installation worked for two days. I don't understand wha happened.

Thanks,

see what happens

I have the same on my localtestsite not on our livesite! But if you outcomment in the index.php:
//header( 'Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT' );
//header( 'Last-Modified: ' . gmdate( 'D, d M Y H:i:s' ) . ' GMT' );
//header( 'Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate' );
//header( 'Cache-Control: post-check=0, pre-check=0', false );
//header( 'Pragma: no-cache' );

Than the warnings are gone but it's not the right solution! Maybe that michiel_1981 has a clue to fix this?

Hi Michiel,

Don't worked. So I retur to original config.
Yes, I changed permissions to 'everybody' don't see full size images. The user 'everybody' has permission to see items and to see resized images.
I don't understand much about permissins system, but it works with standalone install.

Thanks,

I don't know if this error has anything to do with it:

The problem I am unable to track down is causing the error. The error may be what is sending header information before mambo is ready for headers to be sent. The "rhuk_planetfall/css/img" part has me concerned. Maybe this will help you track it down.

Here is a work around for the sent headers issue. Rather than completely commenting the following code, we can at least not execute it when viewing the gallery component. Use the 'if {}' block to check if headers have been sent.

if (!headers_sent()) {
 header( 'Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT' );
 header( 'Last-Modified: ' . gmdate( 'D, d M Y H:i:s' ) . ' GMT' );
 header( 'Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate' );
 header( 'Cache-Control: post-check=0, pre-check=0', false );
 header( 'Pragma: no-cache' );
}

Hi everybody.
Thank's for your work.

version Mambo 4.5.2.3
latest version of G2 gallery-2.0-beta-4+
latest version of the component com_gallery2_v2.0.6

Standalone working fine
mambo working fine on a mac without SEF

I tried to run the previous version of the component and the 2.0.5 works fine in the backend but not in the frontend...

I tried to config the 2.0.6 component for mambo but still have the problem with the setting of path to mambo install...

full server path to gallery : /Users/Patrick/Sites/erezi/gallery2/
relative path: gallery2
path to mambo: /

still have the answer: path to mambo is incorrect!

Anyone have an idea ???

Thank's

Hello, I'm having a similar problem to webbee with the paths - the path to mambo doesn't seem to be correct and will only save as the default of "/http://paul-murphy.info/mambo/"

The URL for my mambo is "http://www.paul-murphy.info/mambo"
The full path for my mambo is "/home/srgesxwa/public_html/mambo/"
The URL for gallery2 is "http://www.paul-murphy.info/mambo/gallery/"
The full path for gallery2 is "/home/srgesxwa/public_html/mambo/gallery/"

I'm using com_gallery2 v2.0.6
Gallery2 Beta4
and Mambo 4.5.2.

Can anyone help?

Many Thanks
Paul

Michiel, any idea when 2.0.7 will be ready for release? I am eagerly waiting for it.

Should solve my user sync problems.

Also, the header errors just seem to be an annoyance for me for the time being (just slowing down the page load by a few milliseconds) but operationally dont seem to have any impact. Should I be concerned about these and pay more importance to them than I am doing now?

relative path => ./gallery
path to mambo => /mambo/

hopefully this week!

Hi Michiel, First of all, thanks for all the support you've been providing here. The test install went flawlessly. Just curious if you're going to release what looks like a mod_rewrite or SEF compliant component on your site with the next release?

First of all wsup michiel_1981

Now, this is regarding the mod_album_tree module

1. Is 1.2 the latest version available for this module?

2. Would you please upload it to mamboforge (http://mamboforge.net/frs/?group_id=1415) under Modules since I'm sure a lot of users will find it handy.

Take care.

d3vlabs and the rest of thecommunity,

It will be released with the rest of the new modules, when i release the new component version.

I have received word from mambojoe and his Community Builder and i'll receive his next relaise and some documents, and will try to integrate some user info to CB.
because this is a feature asked for alot, i'll delay the release of version 2.0.7 until I have finished this.

Marticus,

Thanks for the elegant solution. Since I am not using the member features or the sidebar the header problem was my only real hang up. Your code seems to be non-intrusive and has not impacted any other areas of Mambo. Cheers.

Hey all, glad I finally found this thread as I have been researching this problem for quite a while now--here it is: thanks in advance!
After installing gallery 1.5 with mambo 4.5.2 and realizing that exec() was permanenlty disabled on my hosting server--
I unistalled g1.5 and installed gallery2 core 0.9.32 with mambo component 2.0.6.B.1
-outside of mambo, ie, directly from the url, i can upload and view pics fine--when I link to G2 from Mambo, it shows fine, but the uploaded pics dont show, yet while it is loading the page, it shows the frame of the pic, and then shrinks down to the text--
The only errors I seemed to be getting is when I went to the "Album Management" part of 'components' in mambo-I got something like this:
nput Array does not match ?: SELECT DISTINCT g2_AccessMap.g_accessListId FROM g2_AccessMap

but then, it just stop producing that error, yet I still cannot see the pics on the frontend of mambo--any ideas?
I hope I was short, eloquent, yet succint--Thank you

I've got the following problem: images are being get from the wrong location in the Gallery Block:

Full path for Mambo: /var/www/html/
Full path for Gallery2: /var/www/html/gallery2

So, relative path should be 'gallery2'. The admin component tells me the settings are correct.

But when I display the Gallery Block on my site, images are not found. When I look at the properties I see: http://mysite.com/d/43-2/1.jpg.

It looks like it's searching for images a directory-level higher.

Changing paths in the admin gives me an incorrect path error.

Can anyone please help?

TIA Patrick

Polyphemus,

you have enabled short urls, you should disabled it or set it correctly. including embedded system, as i haven't wrote any documents on this you are on your one, sorry. i'm still busy on making this work for the general not programming community.

Here are some ideas/suggestions/comments/bugs regarding the current state of integration and the related files

Please add an option to define which content shows up in the sidebar module. For example: you have to enable image block module in G2 in order to use mambo module mod_gallery_random. Since you already have it displayed where you wanted, there is no need to have same thing being displayed as part of the mod_gallery_random

DIfferent url scheme for album tree module - it seems to generate incorrect (non-embedded) links to the content. This happens regardless if SEF/SEO/mod_rewrite is enabled and I seen this behavior on mutiple installations. This is partially have to do with changes that were brought by G2 B3 / B4 (core:ShowItem -> core.ShowItem). Here's an example:
mod_album_tree: http://mambosite.com/&g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=327
correct link should be: http://mambosite.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=313&g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=327

getitems url module not working - an additional module (user contributted) fails to work in integration, you simply get redirected to the same page. Works just fine in the same G2 installation standalone.

Another path problem guys. I've read through everything in this thread and googled but am still having difficulties, so I must be doing something extra stupid :)

Gallery 2 RC1
com_gallery2 2.0.6
Mambo 4.5.2

Site (Mambo) URL: http://www.shadowsongeurope.com
Gallery URL: http://www.shadowsongeurope.com/gallery2
Full path to gallery: /path/to/usr/shadowsongeurope.com/gallery2/
Relative path to gallery: /gallery2/
Path to Mambo: /

The "Path to Mambo" is where I'm having difficulties. I've tried both "/" as the root directory of the website (which is where mambo is), and the full URL, and also the full server path, and nothing works - it always reports that the path to mambo is incorrect.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I had similar issue with the same setup.

This ended up working (in the compenent config):

Full Path to Gallery G2: /home/foo/public_html/gallery2/
Relative path to Gallery G2: gallery2 <- no leading or trailing "/"
Path to Mambo: /

Otto

That still does not work for me unfortunately. Still get the "Path To Mambo is Incorrect" message.

Bear with me as I'm a Mambo newbie so the integratin was new to me before the G2 RC1 release.

Gallery 2 RC1
com_gallery2 2.0.6
Mambo 4.5.2
Gallery2 Random Image Block v2.3

This was all working for the previous Gallery Beta (flippin' sweet). I actually uninstalled and installed RC1 and now everything works except the Random Image Block which gives this error in place of the random image on the side bar:

Fatal G2 error
Here's the error from G2:

in /home/tonyandn/public_html/modules/mod_gallery_block.php at line 57 (galleryembed::getimageblock)

Any ideas?

What values are meant to go in the database?

My "mos_gallery2" table has no data in it, and the structure is two fields, "key" and "value", which is not very intuitive. I've looked through the code but its quite difficult to figure out all the data that should be in this table.

here is the sql to create them,

INSERT INTO `mos_gallery2` VALUES ('path', '/home/domain/dir/gallery2/');
INSERT INTO `mos_gallery2` VALUES ('relativeG2Path', './gallery2');
INSERT INTO `mos_gallery2` VALUES ('embedPath', '/');
INSERT INTO `mos_gallery2` VALUES ('loginredirect', '/index.php');

this isn't correct but will get you started.

Hi,

I installed gallery-2.0-rc-1. I have a problem with View Slideshow (fullscreen). If I use it, it starts with loading the Java applet but then it stops at the sort of Slideshow parameters setup program. There's a button at the bottom named Start slideshow but it is disabled. Then some seconds later an error messagebox shows up with the message:

I Gallery Remote can find no protocol implementation at the URL <myurl>. Check with a web browser that <myurl> is a valid Gallery URL.

I did tried installing the Gallery Remote but nothing happens. Is there anything I missed here? Everything works fine except the fullscreen slideshow.

Second, I integrated it with Mambo. I noticed the sidebar module always has a random image on it. How do I disable it? I already have the random image on the Mambo frontpage and I don't want to show it when viewing the gallery itself.

Thanks.

Hello again,

I have other questions. I installed the G2 RC developer package. Does it contain image magic already? I tried to configure it but it asks for the image magic directory. Or I should install it separately. thanks.
