Gallery v1.4.2 and Gallery Remote v1.3.1 Released!

Gallery v1.4.2 is mostly focused on bugfixes and minor improvements.
Some of these include::
    • Improved voting/ranking features
    • Gallery internationalized in even more languages!
    • Config. Wizard is more informative and friendly
    • Improved skins capabilities (more customizable)
    • EZ-Prints service updated to their new, friendlier interface
    • Tons of small improvements and bugfixes
This version also has security improvements. Gallery v1.3.1, 1.3.2,
1.3.3, 1.3.4, 1.3.4-pl1, 1.4, 1.4-pl1, 1.4-pl2 and 1.4.1 have a major
security flaw, so we recommend that all users upgrade to v1.4.2.

Gallery Remote v1.3.1 is also available now, and has some wonderful new features:
    • Major UI change: the albums are now displayed in a tree control.
    • New album inspector lets you override upload settings, move albums, download images already in the album, and display full-screen slideshows of the album.
    • Drag and drop of pictures between albums are now possible.
    • Saving and loading state is now easier and more streamlined; a menu remembers the last n saved states.
Download Gallery v1.4.2 and Gallery Remote v1.3.1 from the Gallery Download Page now!

Update: a couple of mostly UI bugs have been found by early testers of Gallery Remote 1.3; we have re-released 1.3.1 which fixes these bugs. Sorry if you already downloaded it.

Everyone else gets the new version -- where is it for Mac OS X users?

Thanks Guys!

Site upgrade took less than 10 minutes, no hitches.

Gallery just keeps going from strength to strength!

Martin :-)

I hate to push the next release as soon as this one comes out but when can we expect 1.4.3 with phpBB support?

It's still not working correctly in CVS (add photos esp.)

Thanks for all the hard work!

Still absolutely splendid software, but none of
us Galeon users on linux (RH9, j2re 1.4.2, everything nicely up to date) can get thumbnail cropping to work, even with this latest release. An image appears for the briefest moment and is then overlayed by gray, with rapid flickering in the stuck pulldowns.

Mozilla gives a frozen "loading image" and rapidly
flickering pulldowns that actually pull down.

Somewhere there's an event that's being triggered in these applets at full throttle, essentially killing them.

(Hey Beckett, when are you coming back to Cornell?)
Yeah great, except that gallery remote won't let me login to my gallery on os x. The login button is greyed out as is the url. Are there any prefs. to delete from old versions?

The Gallery is a nice work. However, I find that once I include the Japanese language directory into my locale directory, the configuration wizard doesn't work. Does anyone have the same problem?

It seems to get failure while slideshow ON mozilla.
but RC2 is oK.

is it just me or does the 'Gallery Download Page' link not work?
[Cornell] I'll be up in Ithaca periodically! Sorry I didn't catch you out in Pasadena over the summer. I think we were both hiking Mt. Baldy within a day of each other, if I read the COC minutes correctly! Anyhow, I'm working in CT now, so I'll be making more trips up to Ithaca, and booking myself in at the homebuilt wall! ;)
