Gallery 2.3.1 (Skidoo) Released

Gallery 2.3.1 (Skidoo) is now available for download! This release adds compatibility with PHP 5.3, with minor enhancements in a couple plugins.
As always before you ask for help, please, please read the README -- we've made an effort to answer all of your questions there. Especially read the known issues section. Upgrading is quick and easy, but if you're upgrading from 2.1 or earlier there are a few things you should know first so be sure to scan the upgrading instructions.

Changes in Gallery 2.3.1:
- Gallery and all core plugins now compatible with PHP 5.3
- Minor enhancements in the Hybrid theme and the Slideshow Applet module
- Translation updates submitted since the Gallery 2.3 release

no hassle upgraded to 2.3.1
I still prefer Lytebox slideshow over the Piclen. Piclen ate up my memory so quickly.
Though, the new default setting of lytebox is taking too long from dim to fully display, making it virutually useless. I have to restore the previously one from Suprsidr (version 0.95). Sorry for saying this.
Another issue that I have about loading photos (from Local Server) still failing when the folder contain non-english characters. (logged to the tracker for long time)
Not on PHP 5.3, unable to comment on this.
Gallery 2 is still my favorite online album.

After I upgrade to 2.3.1, on my comments I find thousand of spam messages from visitors (Capcha is set to High on user visitors). Before with 2.3.0 I don't have any spam message (or the spam was very very rarely) on comments, anyone have the same problem?
How can I resolve it? For now I've disable "Add Comments" to Visitor user

I've resolve all my spam problems after installing the Recaptcha module for Gallery 2.X (see this site: http://ilpleut.be/doku.php/code:recaptcha).

Yeah, spam is a very serious issue for gallery, at least gallery 2.x. Broke my database several times, captcha and even askimet seems not helpful at all. The only thing which helped for me in the past is blocking anonymous comments completely. Thx for pointing to recaptcha, will try this right now.
