Gallery 1.5.4 Released
Submitted by Tim_j on Mon, 2006-08-14 15:18
Gallery 1.5.4 is now available for download. This release is a pure bug fix release. No security bugs and no new features. Besides minor bugfixes the most annoying bug, the broken permission dialog, was fixed. We recommend all Gallery 1 users upgrade to 1.5.4 to avoid problems. You can download Gallery 1.5.4 from the Gallery Download Page.
Thanks to Tim_j, the world is a slightly better place.

Bad things changed. Seems like any that visits my site can now delete any image! It is because they were uploaded by the anon user. How do you mass the image owner? I have tried every setting but only thing works is if I click on each image, which I can't do to all 3000 images!
Hello Sam,

That is not a fix.. This is a MAJOR issues.. on both of my gallery installs any user can delete any of my images. no fix except for me to delete the 'delete_photo.php' file.
Is the tools directory missing from this package?
Regards Steve
Gallery is behaving correctly. Please have a look at my further explanation.

Version 1.5.4-1 of the Debian gallery package was uploaded to Debian Unstable in the afternoon (EDT) of Tuesday, August 15, 2006 and should be available as of the archive push in the afternoon (EDT) of Wednesday, August 16, 2006.

I'm using the Gallery 1.5.4 as an component within Joomla! 1.0.10 Stable. Since I've upgraded from 1.5.3 the slideshow function doesn't work anymore. It shows the first pic and after that it jumps back to the mainpage.
Is this a known bug?
Seems to be a Joomla issue.

Download the package from Sourceforge again. They now contain the tools folder.

I have troubles with this upgrade.
first problem : the .png files in html_wrap/frames/shadows seem corrupted. Firefox can't display them properly and complains there are errors in the png file if I try to display one directly. I fixed it by copying the .png files from a backup. I haven't tried other frames.
Second problem : the album property window doesn't display correctly tabbed menus anymore. All links but last one are now text only, as shown here:

I use french translation and I guess it has something to do with it.
Not too sure how to fix this one... So I went back to 1.5.3, for now.
If someone could have a look, much appreciated!
Jérôme
Hi,
I just upgraded to 1.54 and I’m having a problem with the search function (was working fine before):
Is this Gallery related or does the problem come from my host (PowWeb)?
Thanks for your help.
Stéphane.

It seems you didn't download any additional languages. This is not a problem! Gallery will appear just in English. Note: If this is not true, check that all files in locale folder are readable for the webserver, or contact the Gallery Team.

@zod666: it sounds like PHP is crashing before it gets to the end of the page. This can be caused by lots of things (many of which are not because of Gallery). Please start a topic for this in the forums and we'll try to help you get an answer.
my fault. php-pcre rpm package was missing.
1.5.4 tabs
Is your Gallery embedded ? Can you give me a link to your Gallery ?
This is definitely NOT related to french ;)

Is the tools directory missing from this package?
In the very first release of 1.5.4, yes.
But it was fixed a couple hours after the release.
If you download it now, you get a complete Version.
