Not compatible with PHP 5.3.28 ?

Hi, my VPS host recently forced all accounts to migrate to a new server. Upon migration, none of my PHP programs including Gallery are running. They claim it's a PHP compatibility issue, which I really don't buy.

Gallery 2.3.1 was released to include compatibility w/ PHP 5.3 and beyond.
Latest is 2.3.2

Hi, I have downloaded version 2.3.2 and started running the upgrade. Unfortunately encountered a problem on step 5 (DB setup)

I don't want to erase everything and start fresh. Could you please help me remedy this?

are you running the installer or the upgrader?
