Stuck on Storage Setup of the installation

I am installing Gallery on a Windows Server (its on a shared ISP system).

I tried to create the directory outside the path I am using for Gallery, but whatever path I choose, will always be accessible by the public. I do not have root access to the server, only the ISP does.

I tried to create a directory for the images 'outside' the gallery install directory using the suggested directory name, 'c:\webs\mysite\g2data_5792a227e0\'.

Here is the error:

Errors occurred. Please see messages below.
For maximum security you should pick a directory that is not web accessible. If this is not possible, specify a randomized name for this directory.
There was an error creating the directory structure within the storage directory.

The gallery directory is 'c:\webs\mysite\gallery\g2data_5792a227e0\'.

The path for the images is full permissions (read, write, execute).

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks,
Don

In addition to suprsidr's suggestion. You're going to have one hell of a time using Windows as a webserver on a shared host and actually want to get something done.

You'll need to contact your host and see if they'll change permissions for you. You can't change (or even check) file permissions on Windows servers via FTP.

I decided to get a server account with an ISP. I used the same one that host most of our companies sites, and has a cPanel. I successfully installed and configured it (at least I think I did, lol).

Thanks for the help and suggestions.
