Ok, I'm ready to pull my hair out with this migration process. I have been trying to pull my albums over for a few hours now and did everything that the migration guide told me to do. A few of my albums have transferred successfully. Then I got to album08. This is what popped up on my screen: http://www.marauders-map.org/img/galleryerror.png Not being a PHP pro, I saw STORAGE and figured I'd take a shot at fixing it by allocating more memory. So I up'd it in my php.ini file to 128M as you can see in my next screen shot. The migration guide told me to try to upload the album by itself. I did and I got this (on the exact same file as before, no errors. Just stopped.): Screenshot: http://www.marauders-map.org/img/galleryerror2.png So then I looked and the migration guide told me to make sure it existed in my gallery1 directory. It does. Then, I realized that the albums were partially uploaded and thought it would be a good idea to delete them and try to upload the album again. I attempted to delete the album and got this: http://www.marauders-map.org/img/galleryerror3.png NOW, if I try to access the gallery or any of the albums I only get a very unhelpful "ERROR" on a white page with no error message. I'm not entirely sure what's going on. If it helps, my gallery1 won't let me login to my admin account because of a sessions problem. Anyone know what the heck is going on?! Also, as an aside, I meant to deactivate the squareThumb toolkit prior to migration. Is there a way to undo the alterations to the thumbnails or do I need to start over? |

First make sure you're following this guide:
FAQ: Can I update from G1 -> G2?
Regarding, the lock timeout message, try switching to database locking in G2, under Site Admin > General (first page you land on)
FAQ: I suddenly got an "ERROR_LOCK_TIMEOUT" message, what do I do?

I have followed all guides to the letter....
I wiped everything and started over. Now it's holding up on the same file with a different error (ERROR_STORAGE_FAILURE). I tried to download the album with the intention of uploading that specific album later, outside of the migration, and then I got a similar error when uploading a different album: http://www.marauders-map.org/img/galleryerror4.png
I have checked the credentials in my config file and all seems to be fine. What else could this be? Another problem with my host? I'm using iPowerWeb and they are TERRIBLE with PHP/MYSQL issues.

And, now, I'm getting a similar error to the one I got before even after switching database locking: http://www.marauders-map.org/img/galleryerror5.png
I'm going to sleep on this for a bit. Any help would be appreciated. This seems like it should be very easy and that Gallery makes it that way, so I'm assuming it's a host problem.....

please check your SequenceId table in your gallery2 database.
e.g. use phpmyadmin to check its status / repair it.

Checked it and it said all was ok. I repaired it for good measure. I'm still having a problem deleting albums as well. When I select "delete album" from the dropdown menu, nothing happens. When I try to delete it under "Delete Items" it simply says "waiting for marauders-map.org" in the firefox status bar and nothing happens.
Should I post the whole enormous debug output?
Thanks for your help!

Actually, you can see it if you access the gallery. That might be clearer. I will post it as an attachment when I get home.

Any ideas? Feel free to email or message me with questions, too, if that's easier.
Thanks again!

Nothing in the logs stand out to me.

Interesting. I've tried everything. My Gallery 1 installation seems to be in somewhat working order so I think I'm just going to screw the upgrade until I can either find another gallery application or switch hosts and try it then.
Thank you for your help!
