About add server module and storage.

Im curious about the add server module. Will it add the images to my /var directory or does it leave the files in place and just create a database entry? The reason I ask is I am concerned about keeping my albums intact if I need to add a hard drive to my server when my disk runs out of space. Is it possible to store images on a secondary drive? Is there be a way to view photos from multiple disks?

It will copy the images over to the /var directory.

You can probably put your gallery3/var directory onto a different disk and use a symlink.

Ok, Do you think a symlink along with unionFS would allow me to use multiple disks? Seems like it , but I guess it might make it take longer to retrieve images.

I have no idea, but yeah, my first concern would be performance.
