Okay, I hate to be a bit harsh, but I honestly cannot comprehend how a module could be provided for Drupal that does not simply install correctly and with no extra steps required. I have installed the Gallery module for Drupal and Gallery2 exactly as outlined in the installation instructions. But I am getting errors galore within Drupal. I am getting parse errors, invalid arguments, and error for gallery2 locations, and other warnings and errors.
* warning: parse error in ./modules/gallery/help/gallery.forms_help.ini on line 2 in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 66.
* warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 67.
* warning: parse error in ./modules/gallery/help/gallery.forms_help.ini on line 2 in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 66.
* warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 67.
* warning: parse error in ./modules/gallery/help/gallery.forms_help.ini on line 2 in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 66.
* warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery\gallery_help.inc on line 67.
PHP Memory Limit OK Your PHP is configured to limit the memory to 128M (memory_limit parameter in php.ini). This should be fine for embedded Gallery2 operation.
Gallery2 locations Error
Drupal Modules / Gallery2 Plugins Warning
Clean URL / URL Rewrite Warning
Initial User Synchronization Error
Here is where everything is installed:
C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery
C:\wamp\www\drupalsite\modules\gallery2
C:\wamp\sites\all\modules\gallery
C:\wamp\sites\all\modules\gallery2
No other module of any kind has given me any trouble. Everything is easily enabled from administration, and I can move immediately to administer by module. But Gallery simply will not cooperate. Why should it be any different from any other module when it comes to installation and configuration?
By the way, I have enabled clean URLs if that has any bearing on this.
Also, I should point out that I am just now learning Drupal, I have no PHP coding experience, and basically I have not done website development in nearly a decade. So if this module or any other is going to require special steps, special modifications to configuration files, or anything other than working out of the box with minimal effort, then just let me know and I'll try to find another solution. I'm looking for an easy path to site building and administration, not complications.

did you ask over at the project homepage? http://drupal.org/project/issues/gallery
all of those errors are in the drupal module itself, and not gallery related.

Yes, the errors are being delivered by Drupal, but they are related to the Gallery2 installation. There are clearly problems with some of the files that Gallery is supposed to use. Also, I have tried going into the installation directory for Gallery2 and opening the index.php file to run the Gallery2 installer, but it claims that I am not running the readme file from my web server so I can't use the link to the installer. But this exactly where the readme is located. I have Gallery2, including the readme, in the recommended directory of my WAMP server!

I'm serious, not a gallery issue - is gallery installed?
