can anyone please tell me if it is possible for guest to only view the gallery slideshow, i wanna add a link to the gallery slide show in an article of a website and i want the guest just to see the slideshow and nothing else. i got as far as setting the link so that the gallery opens from the site, but how can i take away the close button, so that the guest cant close the slideshow.
i want the slideshow to open as a new tab or window and when your done viewing it you close the tab or window but there must be no option to close the slideshow and thee the gallery itself.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use SlideshowPro http://gallery.menalto.com/node/87410
or Cooliris' embeddable wall http://www.flashyourweb.com/article.php?story=CanHTML5dothis
or the minislideshow http://www.flashyourweb.com/staticpages/index.php?page=TheMiniSlideShow
All powered by gallery

basically you generate your own html/php pages and link to them.
Are you using jFusion bridge?

hi again, what i am trying to do, if you go to this link, http://www.elohimphotographybyannarie.co.za/galleries, and click on the image it takes you to the slidshow of the gallery. But when you close the slideshow it take you to the gallery software. what i am trying to get is that if you click on the image you see the slideshow, but if you click on the close button it must close the tab or window or take you back to the galleries page and not to the gallery interface. Is this possible?
Thanx again for any input given.

if your gallery is embedded in joomla via the jfusion bridge you can launch the slideshow from the embedded gallery and it will return to the embedded gallery onExit

You'll have to be more specific.
Which slideshow?
My minislideshow has a handy embed tool and is perfect for inline display in articles.

i installed the jFusion bridge that you recommended and set it up and it tells me everything is cool. if you look at this webpage that i have done http://www.elohimphotographybyannarie.co.za/galleries, what i want to do is have it exactly the way it is now (click on the image and the slideshow of the gallery starts) but obviously the slideshow must now be embedded, if i am understanding correctly. so when you click on the image the slide show starts when you close the slideshow you can click on the next image on that page (which i must still do) and it will take you to that gallery.

let me try to phrase my question differently, how do i embed the slideshow into an joomla article having the highlighted picture (or first image in the gallery) as the picture in the article that you click on to view the gallery slideshow?

quite frankly you almost have it right.
The slideshow has onExit function history.go(-1);
which forces the browser to return to the previous page.
So if your link was not target="_blank" the user would be returned to your page.
Although that functionality was slightly broken in the slideshow version you are using as the latest Cooliris browser plugin does not trigger onExit anymore since it already opens in a new page.
Luckily I've addressed that in my Slideshow module update.
My update sets a return url to instruct the browser where to go.
Since you're not launching from a gallery page, you'll want to include your own return url:
http://www.elohimphotographybyannarie.co.za/gallery/main.php?g2_view=slideshow.Slideshow&g2_itemId=29&g2_return=http://www.elohimphotographybyannarie.co.za/

Ah, I see you're adjusting you page as I type.
For your professional site, I'd use SlideshowPro - I linked instructions above.
