I am actually using gallery3 but figured this would be the best place to post my question. I want to specify users who can use this module without giving them full admin privileges. I have certain people that will be handling payment processing and I would like to be able to do this. Even if you can give me a place to start, I can try to make the changes myself as long as a full overhaul isn't required Any help would be appreciated. |

The checkout module isn't written for, nor is it compatible with, Gallery3. Nothing that anyone can tell you about checkout is in the slightest bit relevant to G3.

My apologies, I got my installs mixed up.
I am actually running Checkout on Gallery2 (2.3.1 to be exact).

So - if I have this right, you want some people who aren't admin status to be able to reach the admin pages for the checkout module(s) only.
That's going to be an enormous job that will involve changing great tracts of Gallery core files - the checkout admin pages are sub-views of the main admin view which embeds checks for admin status within it. Somebody else asked a similar question in the last few months and I gave a more detailed response there, but unfortunately if you really mean to do this you're going to end up restructuring a whole lot of the admin system of G2.
