Problems moving to a new webserver

I have a Gallery 1 installed in a Linux webserver, but I had to move it to another one, also Linux.

I ziped all the files and unziped in the new webserver.

Everything looked ok, but I have some Albums folders with names with accents (portuguese names) and some of these albums are not being accessed, not even the highlight photo is shown and if you try to access the album it shows a message stating the folder does not exist.

In the previous webserver everything was coded in iso8859-1, but the new server uses utf-8.

The odd thing is the main albums names with accents are being accessed correctly, but the sub-albums that have names with accents are not being accessed.

I noticed that Gallery coded the main albums with utf-8, but the sub-albums are being coded in iso-8859-1. I can see this in the file albumsdb.dat. This is strange. I expected Gallery to use one coding or the other, but not both.
How can I solve this? Is there any configuration file that I can change?

I tried to migrate to Gallery 2, but I get error messages in the first of these albums and the migration stops.
