error message plus non english character problem

Hi,

I built a gallery website over a year ago, I created various themes to cater for various conditions of the website. The site is bi-lingual. Everything was working fine, until now ...
I tried to assign the relevant theme to one of the albums and the characters of all the albums that are not in English turned into question marks. When I attempt to enter the name of the album again in order to fix the problem I get the following message:

If this problem happens repeatedly, it may be because of corruption in your cache. Site Administrators can clear out this cache.
