Hello everyone!!

I have upgraded my site to the latest version of Gallery (Gallery 3.0 RC1 (Santa Fe). Previously, I had hacked the wind theme to add page numbering to the galleries, with great help from all of you on here. With this new version, once again the wind theme does not have page numbering in it, and the files which I modified last time under your direction are not the same.

Does anyone have a few mins to let me know how to go about changing the code to add page numbering?

I tried the GreyDragon Wind theme, which has the page numbering in it, but it just does not flow properly with my site.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!

Just a side question. What does not flow properly?

When I say flow, I mean that most of my site is white background and whatnot, and the GreyDragon is a lot darker... The theme is nice, but it just does not match the rest of my site..

You could just change the background color or image to flow better with your site.
You can see how I change the background to match the rest of my pages. I also made some other minor changes to.
All this can be done in the css file.
You can see my G3 here.
My front page here
You can also change the backgrounds of the thumbnails and font colors to blend in better with your website

Hmmm, yeah, if I knew css and whatnot a bit more, I could get in there and tweak it to fit the rest of my site... I could either change the greydragon theme, which has page numbers, to match my site, or change the wind theme, which does not have them, to have them.... Seems to me there would be a lot less work in adding the page numbers to wind... I am not a programmer by any means, so I am reliant on you folks to help me out, but from what I saw in the beta version, there was just a few lines of code to add... Just need to know where to add...

if you are talking about pagination, then "few lines of code" would not help you
in current state without extra coding, you can still try using GD theme with wind color pack
if you want to bring pagination into wind theme, may be someone can adopt the file or G3 theam could consider adding Kohana pagination into Kohana

I guess I am just surprised that no one added that functionality into the project itself at this point.. If you have a lot of pictures in your gallery, people usually dont sit down and go through them all. They come back and jump to specific pages to continue on.

Not a big deal for me thouugh. I will just wait. Sooner or later it is bound to jump out of the woodwork :)

Hey Serge, I was just playing around with the wind color pack for GD, and I think this will work perfect for me... Just a couple of questions:

Is there a way to disable the breadcrumbs?

and

Can I move the location of the "Add to basket" link while viewing pictures, to have it show up next to the picture, instead of kind of nested under where the breadcrumbs are?

Mmm, not at this time. yes with ability to go up in the hierarchy I provide in navigator it may not be essential. Feature request?
you can however simply hide it by adding

#g-header .g-breadcrumbs {display: none; }

in one of the theme's CSS

"Add to basket" is functionality of 3rd party module, I would suggest asking author of the module.

Hey again Serge,

I figured out about the breadcrumbs.... I just found it in the CSS and moved it left instead, and changed the height of the header, and it looks MUCH better now... Thank you so much for your help!!

The only thing I am wanting to do now is move the location of the shopping basket icon in the upper corner.. Its pretty well plastered in the corner as far as it can go... I want to take it down a few px and left a few px... Is that something I should be checking with Glooper on??

One more question Serge! Since I moved the breadcrumbs to the left, I would like to move the HOME/ADD/ADMIN/ETC menu to the right, since now they overlap each other when I log in.. Where would I change this? I would assume its in the css somewhere..

Thanks for your help!

why not to move it to the top? Theme Options -> Alternate Header Layout - this will give you breadcrumbs on the left and main menu on the top
Otherwise, play with #g-site-menu

Awesome Awesome Awesome... Thank you so much for showing this great theme with me!

Only 1 issue I have left, and its really not a biggie, but when I go to organize an album, I cant seem to get them to organize... If I click on an album or picture and try and move it, it disappears.... Is there any trick to this?

One other little issue I ran across was when I create a new album with IE, I can not enter it to add any pictures... If I use firefox, it will allow me to click on the album to enter it, and add some pics... Not a big deal for me, as I usually use firefox anyway, but may be something to keep in mind if you are in there tinkering.
