I had to migrate to another server, where I have root permissions.
I restored the myaqldump.
I copied the folder in htdocs
I copied the pictures, which are outside of htdocs and set permissions to 777
Now I can see the gallery without the pictures, I can login, but when I try to go to site admin, I get "object not found"
Any ideas?
Sorry I can't give you detailed version info, because I cannot access it.

I put the gallery in maintenance mode:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:FAQ#How_do_I_prevent_users_from_accessing_my_site_during_maintenance_or_upgrades.3F
http://domain.tld/main.php?g2_view=core.PluginCallback&g2_pluginId=rewrite&g2_pluginType=module&g2_command=deactivate
{"status":"success","states":{"module":{"permalinks":"inactive","rewrite":"unconfigured"}},"deleted":[]}
Now the photos appeared, but rewrite doesn't work.
I followed the recommendation in "URL Rewrite Setup", but this didn't help.
/srv/www/htdocs/domaintld/modules/rewrite/data/mod_rewrite/custom/.htaccess
Line 6: RewriteBase /modules/rewrite/data/mod_rewrite/custom/
/srv/www/htdocs/domaintld/modules/rewrite/data/mod_rewrite_no_options/custom/.htaccess
Line 6: RewriteBase /modules/rewrite/data/mod_rewrite_no_options/custom/
Could there be a problem with the apache2-configuration?

Maybe. Did you follow these directions exactly, step-by-step?
FAQ: How can I move my gallery installation from one server to another?
Try uninstalling the URL Rewrite module (that will remove any data associated with that module from the database) then re-install and re-configure (including running the tests to see if it works)
