Keeping track of all items uploaded through user albums

This could possibly go under the administration forum, but it's fairly general so I figured I'd post here.

When using user albums in Gallery2, is there an easy way to keep updated on any and all items added in any album and its sub-albums? Basically, I want to be able to see any new images added to any album within the gallery. Even a "master" RSS feed would be nice, which I think I have setup now, but appears to only be good for going forward. If possible, I'd like something that could allow me to see any and all items uploaded over time but without having to manually look within each and every album already out there.

I would think something like this might already exist, either built in or as an addon, but I didn't see anything right off hand.

The dynamic albums module has (I think) a view-by-date option. Or else I wrote a module that gives you all items added between certain dates. Or you could write one, it's quite easy.
