Cannot change theme from Matrix

I am unable to change my gallery theme - not even to the default-installed themes. When I goto Themes in the Site Admin panel and click the drop-down box, only Matrix shows. Any help?


Gallery version (not just "2"): 2.2.5 core 1.2.0.7
PHP version (e.g. 5.1.6): 5.2.12 cgi
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ):
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33): Apache
Database (e.g. MySql 5.0.32): mysqlt 5.0.83-log, lock.system=flock

By the way, this is a fresh install - installed through my hosted cPanel. I installed using the same method a while back and didn't have this issue, so I know the host's install is valid.

Themes need to be installed just as any other module. They are not installed by default.
gallery admin -> plugins -> themes

As dumb as it may seem i don't have this option gallery admin-plugins on my gallery 3 webpage.

This is a gallery2 forum.
Its different in gallery3.
Try Admin -> Appearance
