Seeking support on the installation of the G2bridge. I've done by best to follow this thread and related links to get it to work at no avail: I've got the mod_ and com_ files installed into Joomla, but I haven't been able to figure out how to drop a gallery2 grid into the main page. I also have not installed the plg_ files, or the php4_g2bridgecore.class file, as I don't know where they should go. My goal is to fill up the main content area of the home page with Gallery. Essentially, I want to use Joomla as the shell, and drop gallery inside of it. I just need to know how to add the gallery bridge into Joomla, and what CSS code to setup, after this, I can muddle my way around. I would really appreciate any help on this. I'm new to Joomla and Gallery, which doesn't help at all . |

The Gallery 2 bridge (g2bridge) hasn't been in development in over a year and has a serious flaw that allows hackers to initiate attacks from your root directory and place files there. I would suggest going with a much more modern JFusion implementation: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/bridges/authentication-bridges/3723?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo3OiJqZnVzaW9uIjt9

The best working bridge to date for Joomla 1.5 is the JFusion Universal Plugin (works reasonably well for Gallery2, and very well for many other open source programs out there like). Check out http://jfusion.org/.
