While working on GreyDragon Theme, we were asked if it would be possible to create Wind Theme with and incorporate styles and some options from GD Theme. As a courtesy to you, we are glad to present GreyDragon Wind Theme. Because of inheritance of the code, before reporting error, please check that issue is not with default Wind theme itself. Please note that GDW theme is not intended to provide exactly the same features as an original GreyDragon Theme since it would require larger changes to the default code. See included Changelog.txt for changes with each version. --- |

what's the difference in this theme from your regular grey dragon theme?
It is based on Wind Theme - meaning that customizations are limited to CSS and few HTML injections to support config settings which I have in GD theme.
It would be more suitable for you.
I have it running on my site for today.

Serge, where can I change the 'Dang... page not found' title? I've trawled through everything I can think of but can't find it! Can you point me quickly to where to amend the title of the page?
Thanks in advance...

It is internal to G3
submit a feature request for G3 dev team.

Thanks - didn't realise as I'm only using one theme! Will do...

Oh, sorry. It is encouraging that theme which is 1 day old is the only theme used! Cool.
May be if you tell me a little more I can do something about it.

It works well - by the way, as I know you are reading, I had an issue with the original Greydragon theme on Max OSX - when I logged in it wouldn't redirect back to the gallery - gave me an Ajax success page and that was it. I'm not very technical so that's about as accurate as I can describe it.
It was why I switched to the Wind version. It does exactly what I need.
The Dang... thing: I've set my site up so that Guests are asked to login. When they access the front page of the site, I've customised the error message but the title at the top still reads: "Dang... Page Not Found". It's because a Guest can't view the page, but I don't want it to say "Page Not Found", I just wanted to change that error title to read something more friendly! (I don't like the word 'dang'!!!)
Thanks Serge

Sorry to hear about OSX problem. Cannot test it there.
If it was some long time ago, you can try latest theme - it is more stable now.
About the "Dang" thing: there are two parts of it:
Without changing the code you can "translate" the page replacing caption text with your own
See if it would help

Serge, thank you.. that 'Dang' thing was really annoying me!
As for OSX it was about 4 days ago, but I will continue to test it with newer versions. Thank you for your work

This is probably a bit of a newbie post but i only just started using gallery 3.
Great theme, the color helps photos stand out.
My problem is the thumbnail images are slightly off centre, can you point me at what needs to be changed ?
See attachment.
Forgot to add, i have the latest comments module active and it shows a white background.
thanks.

Do you get the same with Wind theme?
No, the album thumbnails are centred on the wind theme. The cadillac restoration thumbnail looks odd in the 1st screenshot as it has a longer title.
The random image is still alligned to the left. I installed the random ex module and it centres the image fine.
I attached another screenshot.
thanks.

If you want to move toolbar somewhere look at sidebar.html.php file under theme's view folder:
Structure under
<div id="g-view-menu" class="g-buttonset ui-helper-clearfix">
You can wrap it as a sidebar block with something like this (not tested, not actual SB therefore is not managed by sidebar block manager in admin)

I just noticed that when using this theme with the latest G3 from git, the sidebar isn't showing properly.
Thanks.

The problem is not with the sidebar but with the breadcrumbs. It doesn't seem to add a newline so the album is shifted to the right which then mess up the sidebar.
I fixed it by adding a <br> after displaying the breadcrums in page.html.php, but I am sure that is not the correct solution.

Thank you! 1.0.4 fixes the problem with the breadcrumbs!

I have just been testing the theme V1.04 with the final release of gallery 3 and have noticed that the breadcrumb trail is now broken again with each of the links listed below each other. I haven't had time to look at the code for this but might try to later tonight. If anyone else has a quick fix I would appreciate it.
Cheers

What is the best approach to changing the number of rows and columns in this theme? I would like to have it 5 x 5 for example.

Hi, I'm using the latest version with G3 (the current git release, I think) and I can't upload photos or create a new album. After logging in as admin and creating a new album, then clicking "Add some" then "Select photos" in the pop-up, the pop-up disappears and nothing else happens. "Waiting for mysite.com.." appears in the lower left of the browser.
Here are the system specs:
# Operating system: Linux 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.x86_64
# Apache: Apache/2.2.17 (Fedora)
# PHP: 5.3.4
# MySQL: 5.1.52
# Server load: 0.01 0.03 0.05
# Graphics toolkit: imagemagick
# gallery download name: gallery-gallery3-3.0-209-g84e08a6.zip
This is a new install with no photos currently added. Could this be some kind of javascript problem? I've tried it with firefox and chrome, both on Fedora 14.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex

It does seem to be related to the latest git release having a problem. Backed out to the v3.0 release, and it works fine again. Something in that theme (and one or two others now, actually) are either broken or the latest release is broken.
I believe one of the themes I was trying to use indicated that it only works with one of the git releases. Guess I'll be choosing another theme
Thanks,
Alex

theme does not align with git, as it is not official code
when it would be close to release, I will provide a refresh

What is the best approach to change the fixed number of columns from 3 to 4 or more in this theme?

Check this - http://gallery.menalto.com/node/94653
GD Wind theme is based of default Wind, so any adjustments would be similar

Thanks Serge i'll take a look at it.

What did I do?
Ok so I tried to update to this version from 1.0.5. Well I must have done it wrong. I first tried to just upload and overwrite the old directory. Well that lead to blank pages. So I then deleted the directory and reloaded 1.0.5 and got it working, but now the problem is I can't change themes; they come back with blank pages.

if you touched just greydragon_w folder, then you should be fine as theme does not affect the admin section of the site
you should able change the theme
If you downloaded 1.0.6 (latest) it is for G3 3.0.1
If you are still using G3 3.0.0, as I suspect you do, you need version 1.0.5 (prior) of the theme

Hi Serge!
Great theme, like it a lot. But can you please help me and tell me, how can I change the font size of the description shown under an image?
Thanks,

Hi
Im also looking to find a way to reduce the font size...as its quite large compared to the other fonts.
Also, is there a way to remove the "Home" button in the header as the logo already functions as a way to get home...
Take a look:

Look for .g-paginator in CSS - bottom of the file

That was it, thank you very much!
It was under:
/* Pagination ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ */
.g-paginator
