All greetings! I do not know much English, so I find it hard to read this forum.
Therefore, I'm sorry, if I created a topic in the wrong section, or made a repeat.

Is there a module that allows you to display random text \ banners between the thumbnail album in Gallery 2.3.1? If such a module there, show you how to do this manually? A similar theme for the G1 is here:

And. Such a question:
How can I make some thumbnails in the album had no links to the full image, but on some site (like a banner)?

For your first request about random text between thumbnails: You have to edit code. I would see if this helps:

as for your second question about using links to other sites; I would use the link item module:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Modules:linkitem
You will be able to add a item and have that item link to another site or page you like.

And how to remove the shortcut links from thumbnails?

Don't know about target=blank, loot at the module code and you might be able to figure it out.
if you want to remove the shortcut link you can use the thumbnail module to add your own thumbnail. I think, I have not used it in some time.
You will have to play with it for some time to see it it works.
Perhaps adding a item, highlight that item, then; hide the item: with the hidden item module helps.
