htmlblock question

I installed Gallery2. So far, so good. I needed a static page - maybe several, such as Welcome, About, etc. I downloaded and installed htmlblock in Modules. Then I went to js script/ tiny_mice/ blank html. There is created my first page. I wanted it as the front page. After creating it, I saved it to ........../fotosbyerika.com/themes/slider. BTW, blank_html shows the front page how I want it. (see attached)

My question is, how do I get to make it show up on my site? Have I saved it incorrectly?

Also, I don't have a clue about php coding so the help page was no help, if you know what I mean. I'm pretty OK with html, just not php.

Is there help for me?
