Hi there everyone,

Forgive the ambiguity, but I don't currently have access to the current gallery install(still waiting on second drive to be removed and connected via USB). I believe these stats are correct though:

Gallery 1.5.8(I'm pretty sure)
Integrated into PostNuke 7.6.2
running on linux/apache 2.x

Gallery worked great. PostNuke, however was a dead horse and I had always planned to upgrade the cms and move the gallery to that at my leisure. A hard drive failure caused me to have to change the order of things somewhat, however.

I've imported all the cms data into a phpBB3 install, which is working fine. Once I have the gallery data, I would like to restore it, only now it's going to be with a phpBB3 install, instead of postnuke. So my question is this:

How do I do this? Does gallery1 even support phpBB3? If it doesn't and if I manage to upgrade gallery from 1 to 2 and then connect it to the phpBB3 install, would all the permissions be totaled?

I would so very much appreciate any assistance in this matter. The gallery is the only thing I'm being asked about constantly and to be honest, I have no idea how I'm going to introduce it to the new forum system.

thanks,

As stated, this is a Gallery 1.5.8 install.

I didn't ask if Gallery 2 would bridge to phpBB3. I was asking how I would handle the different user database between postnuke and phpBB3. You cut my question in half.

You mean being integrated into 2 applications at the same time? Not sure, but I'm pretty sure that's would cause nothing but problems.

No, I'm very sorry for the confusion. What I'm trying to find out is how I would handle restoring the gallery that once was bridged to postnuke but will now be bridged to phpBB3. It seems to me that the galleries permissions systems would be tailored to the old auth methods of Postnuke. What will I need to do with all the galleries once I've got it running again to allow the same users to manipulate them. Does gallery go by username alone, or user_id, or ??? Will I need to go through each gallery and set the owner again?

thanks,

Gallery, internally goes by user_id. As for integrations, I haven't got a clue.
