Gallery 2.3.1 and Joomla 1.5

I am wondering what the current situation is with integrating Gallery 2.3.1 and Joomla 1.5...

Is the Bridge plugin still being developed? Does anyone have any good advice?

The Gallery 2 bridge (g2bridge) hasn't been in development in over a year and has a serious flaw that allows hackers to initiate attacks from your root directory and place files there.
