[Solved] Header/Footer Implementation

I have installed G2 yesterday and the only theme I have active is the Matrix. I wanted to add my own header/footer and so I found this article: I created a new folder located in /themes/matrix/templates/local/ and saved a copy of the matrix's theme.tpl to that new /local/ folder I just created. I have copied my header html code and placed it just right after the <body> tag of that theme.tpl file and did the same thing for my footer html code placing it just before the closing </body> tag. Nothing works. I mean, none of my html code is rendering at all. It's just showing the same default matrix template. I am using 2.3.1 or the lastest typical package I downloaded yesterday. So what am I doing wrong? Thanks. |

clear your template cache in admin -> maintenance

Thank you very much for your help. I did get it to work as you suggested.
I have another question somewhate related but I will make a new post for that.
