Migrating within Gallery 2 !

Reassurance required please.
A friend has been kindly hosting my Galleries along with hers for several years now. However I think I am beginning to swamp her and feel I should really set up a Gallery for myself. Bearing in mind that the text (and there's a lot of it) associated with the pictures is just as important as the pictures themselves in my application, will it be straightforward to carry out the migration. I do not want to have to copy and paste for several weeks as was the case when migrating from Gallery 1 to Gallery 2!!!!

You shouldn't have needed to do that when you migrated from G1 to G2 :)

FAQ: Can I update from G1 -> G2?

However, your new question. Moving to a new server?
FAQ: How can I move my gallery installation from one server to another?
