I have just got my site running.... not live yet still testing. My site consists of a gallery which people can download images from... i add images via ftp using the add item plugin.... plugins include this is all working perfect.... how ever when i add an item via ftp using the add item plugin the item just have an item name... which is fine but i want to ad description and summery etc to the items... i can do this one by one but it takes ages. Most items are all in albums and all have the same or simular descrition ie in the manchester the photos are all about manchester so the descriptions al the same. is there are way i can apply the same description and summers search words etc to the whole album then i can edit each one if needs be and add more desciption?? |

There is a Bulk Upload plugin. There's no documentation for it, it's not supported, but in my testing it works.
Go to Site Admin > Get More Plugins (tab) and you can download it from the Community (or Experimental, I can't recall which) repository. You can then FTP files to your server and create a CSV (comma separated file) or XLS file and use that to import the files with keywords, descriptions, etc.
