Hello,

I dont know if this is the right place to post this, if not could a mod please move this to the correct place. Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone had modified MP3Audio to play additional audio formats besides .MP3 or if anyone knew of a way to get other audio formats to play in an embedded player?

Adobe's flashplayer can only play mp3.
Other audio formats like audio/mp4(m4a) are actually audio only movies, which would be handled by the flashvideo module instead.
@see the FAQs from this page.

Any other format would rely on the client web browser's plugins like quicktime, windows media, vlc ...
