actual commercial useability

I have just spent the last 8 hours playing around with gallery 2 and have made some progress
But before i spend the next 10-20 hours has anyone actually got this working in a commercial situation where they have the ability to sell photographs from there site and they are not a computer programmer or married to one? and have not spent 100hours getting it working?

not by profession, and still single

many many more hours than that, but most of that work has been donated to the community so you don't have to repeat it (see the checkout modules).
