I got Gallery 2 installed with no problem. I would like to change themes and, although all packaged themes show on the server, only one (Matrix) appears in my selection drop-down. Have I done something incorrect during installation?
Go to Site Admin > Plugins scroll to the bottom and install/activate the other themes.

I have a related question/problem. I want to install the theme called "greypop". I downloaded the zip and installed all of the files to my "gallery/themes/" directory, as instructed. I can even see the new 'greypop' folder with all of its files installed. When I go to Site Admin > Themes, "greypop" is not listed. All of the other themes which I've enabled from the plug-in page are listed, but I can't figure out how to add the 'greypop' to this list, so I can enable and use it.
Any idea what I'm missing?
I went to the plug-in page and tried to install new plugin called "greypop" but I don't believe it was listed anywhere... plus, on the greypop instructions, it specifically said to install the zip file to the gallery/theme directory and it would work...
Could someone please advise?

If you didn't see it there, then it's not there. Make sure you've unzipped the zip file into your themes directory. When browsing your files you should see:
Point me to the page where you saw the greypop instructions and I'll make make them more clear.

Your explanation solved my problem. I unzipped my files to my directory incorrectly and did not have the structure set up correctly. Thank you so much.

I discovered that the way the greypop.zip file is structured, what you need in the root directory of it is nested several levels deep! No wonder it would not install correctly. The file structure is wrong in the zip. Someone should look at it.

/themes/greypop/theme.inc
/themes/greypop/templates/
and a bunch of other stuff
