Sort main page (albums.php) by creation date

Hello.

Is there a way to sort the main page (albums.php) by the album creation date? I upgraded my gallery and moved some things around and now the albums are all out of order.

Right now, unfortunately, no. The only way currently to rearrange the albums on the main page is to move by hand.
Please submit a feature request at http://sf.net/projects/gallery though, since this seems like something we could and should add.

I re-arranged my main page by hand, but when I did I was no longer able to login. :-? Which file do I edit so that I don't mess up the login script? Previously I copied the source from the gallery page on my site then re-arranged it and used it as the new album.php code, but obviously that didn't work. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You don't edit the files! To move albums around "by hand" click the "move album" button besde the album you want to move.

Sorry... I wasn't clear. Yes... "by hand" means "one at a time" with the [move album] buttons.

OK I know these posts were from 2004 so I am wondering if you can sort the albums by creation date or EXIF data, or even date of entry. That would be ideal, all new albums are going to the end and it would be nice if the newest albums were at the begining all the time. Please advise.
