Possible to search w/in Gallery 2 using multiple keywords?

I am currently looking for an open source tool that will allow me to: stock my photos online, organize them, give access to my colleagues and, most importantly, be able to search through the photo database using one or multiple keywords. Is this possible with Gallery2?

So far I've tested it and it doesn't seem to work (i.e. photo w/ caption field survey of the Assouan in Egypte, I search for Assouan + survey and get no results, whereas the keywords alone do link to the photo).
