I've just tested G2B3, and I noticed several "annoyances". One of them is that the delete function is offrered as a dedicated button for albums, but not for photos. For photos, you have to look for the dropdown menu at the end of the toolbar and select the "delete photo" command. Can't this make easier for everyone? I mean, if a function is available for albums, films and photos, then it is either displayed as a buttong for all of them or as a command in the dropdown for all of them. |

You can either delete a photo from the "additional options" button on the album view, or from the dedicated "trash can" icon on the photo view.
The issue with the album view is that there's not enough space for every button, so the least used ones are hidden away under the additional options button.

I understand your point, however, here is how I thought the delete feature was not implemented on albums.
First, I uploaded a picture, made some tests. I then deleted this picture after I discovered the "delete this photo" command in the menu.
I then migrated my G2 content, played with it and wanted to delete some albums. I was looking for the commande at the exact same place, but since there was nothing, I thought it was not yet implemented, I did not even notice the trashcan icon.
What I think is that some people are thinking in the very same way: if you find a feature at one place for one item, you expect to find it at the same place for all items. I now know all items can be deleted, the real question is to know if it is a good idea to have the function (and maybe some others) at different places because of UI constraints.

That entire UI is getting redone at this moment so things are going to be changing.

OK, great.
So keep in mind to be consistent for the access of the commands for all elements ;)

I can't guarantee that. I do hope it happens and will give my input, but since the actions for photos and albums are different the menu options will possibly be different as well. Please keep your copy of G3 up to date from git so once the changes are put into the main repository you'll get them and can also give feedback.

We're very close to committing an update to the menu which appears with every thumbnail on the album view and the resized image view. The new menu combines all options from both of the current menus. Deleting items should be much easier.
