I have about 30 folders with 3-7 pictures per folder that i need to upload them all into G3. one at a time is slow.
is there a way i can sequence the uploading of the folders into there corresponding albums?
can up load a folder one at a time into it's corresponding album?
doe anyone have any suggestions on doing this?
thanks,

Check out the Server Add module that ships with G3.

thanks for the reply.
i uploaded the folder with the picture folders of concern to / of my server (where /gallery3 lives).
i can not execute a path (in server add module) that it can read the folder(s) i uploaded. the error reports that it can not read teh folder.
i entered a path like: http://getsprays.musictechmore.com/product_misc_use
any ideas?
my gallery path is http://gallery3.getsprays.musictechmore.com

The path needs to be a file system path, like /home/UserName/public_html/UploadedPics/ or something like that. You cannot use a URL

i used the system full path to folder of concern and it still could not read it. (got it from 1AND1): /homepages/45/d292045308/product_misc_use/ is where the 5-6 folders live.
will this module actually open the folder and upload the images within that folder, then go to the folder , etc.?
i have nested folders with images in each. that's what i am trying to upload in G3PreB3

i just tried using path straight to images and still failed. error is:
No Authorized image source paths defined yet
This directory is not readable by the webserver
what do you think? i sure will be happy when i learn the proper syntax and procedures. this sure isn't a drop down menu application (i am referring to both ends). in time, in time (i guest?)

Now you click on the "Add from server" button to import your photos into an album. See attached picture.

grievousangel,
please contribute something back to the project by filling out some of the documentation that you found missing for this module:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:serveradd
Documentation is for users by users ... so play your part in helping others, since you had issues with understanding how it works.
