Hello, I've been reading the topics and using G3B2 for a while (congratulations for such a nice product) and I've noticed that Date/Keywords/Description are being perfectly imported from MetaData and are also used to update the fields for the uploaded picture.

The only important field that is missing to be imported from MetaData in G3 as we had in G2, is the ObjectName which is used on most Photo Programs (i.e. iPhoto, Aperture) as the title for the picture.

I wonder if this cant be implemented since for all that I've read it would be one more line on the array and one more line to properly update the title of the picture while adding it to the DB.

Please let me know if there is any particular reason why this wasnt included when Description (IPTC Caption), Keywords and Date codes were written

Please file a feature request for this feature and include a image that has the ObjectName you desire.

Please add the code changes that you feel are necessary to implement this feature.

Hello,

I've tried to implement the code but I wasnt able to use it and I couldnt find any reference.
In my opinion I just had to use ObjectName on the array that loads the information but that didnt work, so I am kind of lost.

As for filing a feature request, can you explain me what you mean with include an image that has the ObjectName that I desire? What do you mean? Use an image that has something set on ObjectName on the IPTC MetaData information?

Please let me know.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Yes I guess I should have been a bit more verbose.

Thank you I will do that.

Just to understand: was that not included for some specific reason or was just forgotten or something else?

Thanks once more for your attention.

Probably just forgotten. Please file a ticket and we'll investigate.

Sorry, I was out of town so I wasnt able to answer you sooner, specially because I couldnt add the picture.

When I've clicked on your link (bugs/feature req's) I wasnt able to access, it required a login and password.

I wonder how can I correctly file it.

Thanks for your attention.

Hello,

I've updated the ticket with the code necessary for this improvement to work.

If you like it, it could be included on the final product since it works perfectly and there are just 3 things to change (as described on the ticket), so it can be released with 3.0 and not 3.1

I hope it helps others and I hope this can be included.

I don't see that among the feature requests. Does it mean it will be included in 3.1?

Thx

There's no voting feature for G3 features (at least yet)

That voting page was for G2 features.
