Gallery Remote 1.5 fails with internationalized album and item names?

Hello,

I'm relatively new to G2 and GR, so please bear with me. I have a Gallery site in which the gallery, album and item names are in non-latin characters (Hebrew). When I connect with GR into the site, I get unintelligible glyphs. A screenshot is attached.

The problem might be with the GR code or with the actual protocol. I haven't had a chance to look at the protocol, and see whether it moves strings back and force in a Unicode-safe way (e.g. UTF-8), but from casual glance it doesn't seem to be a simple font problem (these usually look a bit different), but rather a problem with the strings. Of course this is just a guess.

At this point I can't make use of GR, because of this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
