Hello,
I run a Gallery2 site,
Is het a good idea to update to Gallery3 Beta2?
And can i use then the same layout?

No and no. If you have a production site, running beta software wouldn't be wise IMO.

Feel free to install it separately and test, but I wouldn't replace G2 with it just yet.

Themes from G2 cannot be used in G3, you'll need to redo that work.
