I've seen a similar message with my hosting provider when the permissions are not set correctly. Try removing write access for the group to the Gallery 3 directory and all other files and directories in the Gallery 3 directory. Hope this works!

We need to know what the error is, and that's in your provider's Apache error logs. Ask them to tell you what the real error is. In the meantime, one short in the dark: try removing your gallery3/.htaccess file and see if that improves the situation.
