did an admin reset and and gallery is no longer configured

When I tried to login as admin it said admin was locked out for too many attempts even though it was the first time I tried to login. I could login with losille but it wasn't working correctly
I reset my admin password. It still said I was locked out.
I refreshed and it said my gallery wasn't configured.
After reentering the album,temporary and ImageMagick urls the pics weren't showing up.
My webhost restored the gallery.
I was still locked out and reset my admin password.
It is back to "Gallery has not been configured!"
I stopped for I did any more damage.
What am I doing wrong?
Beating my head on the desk didn't seem to help with the installation.

I apologize for not upgrading. This gallery has been up and running for several years. I get lost when I try to upgrade to 2.
