My gallery has always been pretty slow to load.... but now it doesnt load at all? www.kestadc.com/gallery Any ideas on how to make my gallery work again? I have lots of albums and pics (we upload about 4 galleries a week with 80+ pics). I can sometimes log into the setup link. Any ideas? I have gallery 1.4 thanks |

Dang, just not loading for me here. I'd take a look at the web server's error logs, but other than that, without any error messages, just can't think of what to check. G1 doesn't have any or many useful tools to debug like G2 has, at least that I know of. Personally, I'd really look at getting a new host, seems Media Temple just has some problems with over selling their servers. Don't know if you have a VPS there or what, but this guy just switched from Media Temple to Linode: And I'm in the process of moving my stuff over there. Or check out this thread: |

Replied to your PM. I was never able to get the page to load. But I did get Internal Server error messages. Those should be logged to the error logs on your server. You'll need to look at those to get any information about what the heck is going on. FAQ: What is the webserver error log? |

BTW, took a look at your Gallery. Yeah, you've gone way beyond what G1 can really handle unless you get into major tweaking of the code base. 55,000 items total. If you ever do want a performance increase, I'd take a look at upgrading to G2, but that's going to be a hefty upgrade, take a long time and possibly be error prone. From G2 you could then upgrade to G3 which will be even better than G2 once complete. |
