this may be a very simple change but i cannot seem to figure it out. On the login screen, there is a rectangular box box that goes around the login entry box and password box. My login screen is set to a black background with a white rule. When viewed on a PC there is a space missing from the box where the word "login" would be..it is there but it's text color is black.

When i view this screen on a MAC the rectangular box is filled in the whole way...

can someone tell me how to change the color of this text..i've checked everywhere that is obivous to me..Thanks!

I don't have a G1 install to test with so will need to get your site address.
Have you tried the Firefox browser and the development tool?

no, the actual word 'login' is only visible on a mac..but there is an empty space where the 'login' word should be when viewing on a PC..if i highlight it on a PC it is there it's just that it's color is black and i don't know where to change the highlight color..i'm looking for a line in the css but do not see any

Maybe there's something screwy with your PC. I can see the word Login on Windows in IE 6 and Firefox 3.0.11

You're not giving any information. What version(s) of Windows have you tried? Are others reporting this or just something you are seeing? What browsers and versions have you tried?

If using IE, make sure you don't have any font colors changed. Tools > Options > Colors (on the General tab in IE 6)

I'll have to test in Vista tonight, if I remember and if I remember to boot into Vista instead of Ubuntu ;)

I think I still have IE 7 on my Vista box, but it may already be IE 8. Again, I'd check font color settings inside the browser.
