Comments/Comment boxes are only visible when I am signed in. What settings do I need to change to make it so that anybody will be able to leave/view comments without having to sign in?
I'm sure this is an elementary question, but I am not clear how I should assign permissions.
I am using Gallery 2.3, Carbon Theme, Vista and IE7, if that is pertinent.
Thanks!

I figured as much, but I do not see that option. I do see an option in "Edit Permissions" to add a group to add comments, but I don't have or want a "group," nor do I want to add any one individual person as a new owner.
I have an option for "everybody" to access ratings or Shutterfly or "[core] view all versions" -- but nothing about everbody and comments.
Thanks.

You have to assign the Everybody group to Add Comments if you want anyone to be able to add comments without logging in. Everybody, means everybody, registered users, guests, anyone.
Type in Everybody in the New Group Permission box and select Add Comments

Well, that was easy! ;)
I found the option to moderate the comments, which I suppose is a better safeguard. All is working just right now!
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Everybody! I don't want anybody to create an account on my Gallery2 page. How can I do this? Thank you.

Thank you so much Nivekiam...
everything is so easy when you know! Now, one more question. I'm new to this forum (as to Gallery2) and English is not my mother tongue. What do you mean by "off top"? Thank you very much!

oops, that was a typo, I meant to type "off topic"
In general, if you having a problem and can't find a solution by searching, you can post a new thread so that the discussion of your issue can stay on topic and that will help make it easier for people in the future to look at the subject of a thread and figure out if that might help them.
