No. At least not yet. I don't know if there are plans for it.

Sad? Not in the least. G3 is still in development. Beta for Gallery does not mean the same thing as Beta at Google. :D While there is now a supported upgrade path to future Betas, it's still not recommended to run G3 in a production environment, there are still security issues to be addressed. http://gallery.menalto.com/gallery_3.0_beta_1_released
G3 shares nothing in common in terms of code base with G2, it is a complete re-write from the ground up.

No, that's configurable in the interface. I've got to get G3 re-installed on my server and then I can do a step-by-step. Dig around in the interface to find the options.
What you're going to do is create a folder on your server. Upload the images into that. Tell G3 to look at that folder, then import those images from that folder into G3. G3 will not automatically import images you upload into that folder.

Just installed a fresh checkout from Git:
Admin > Modules > enable Server Add (click Update)
Click Configure it now! at the top
Enter full path to your upload directory, probably something like /usr/www/<YourAccountName>/....
Click Add Path
Go to your album you want to upload photos into and go to Add photos > Add from server

Thanks a lot, Nivekiam!
I got a new issue, when adding photo from add from server, it says " no eligible files, import cancelled"
The images I uploaded are .jpg, the same one I uploaded via simple uploader, do you have any idea?
Yes, it is correct. I sent you a test login on the other post. Please take a look.
Thanks!

I see no Add from server option. I think that user would need to be an admin. Which you probably don't want to do on a user that you've given the world the password to ;)
BTW, I've remove the user name and password in your other post.

It's working fine for me. There is 1 image in the first directory and I added it to the test album I created.

Strange, still doesn't work for me. Tested on Google Chrome and FireFox, still got the same error message above...
When I click on the second directory which is an empty one, it then added the folder name as a new sub-album. Strange...

Are you clicking on the little (+) sign next to the first directory to have it show the image that's in that directory? Then checking the checkbox next to that image and clicking Add at the bottom?

Yes, you can upload from local server, that's been there since Alpha 2

Have you made sure that the web server actually has access to that directory? Post a link to phpinfo, this link explains how to do that:
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?
