Integration of a single album

I would like to display the content of an single album via the embedding functions. I would like to access the album by its id. To be more specific (usecase): I want to give the editor of my cms (contenido) the possibility to select an album that will be displayed at the end of a custom webpage. Each webpage should give the visitor of the website access to only the content of the selected album.

I tried several ways like i.e. loadEntitiesById() or getImageBlock() but none of these seems to provide the functionality I need.

I have been looking around the web for several DAYS now already and would be very thankful if anyone could provide me with some sample code. Is it really that complicated or am i just thinking to complicated?

Thanks for the link. I have been evaluating the script, but I think it does not provide the functionality I am looking for. What mediaBlock does is to create a completely new view of the elements of an album. It then simply "links" to the original gallery 2 items.

Since I want to use the standard templates of gallery 2 in the album overview already (with all its functionality i.e. slideshow, display keywords, display date, etc.), this seperate view is not working for me.

Any other suggestions?
