wordpress permalinks redirecting to g3b1

I have wordpress installed on the root of my site. I installed gallery3 beta1 at /photos/. I can still access my blog at the root, but now any urls generated by the blog, such as links to specific posts, are being redirected to Gallery3. So, for instance: hughstimson.org/2009/06/07/blog-title is redirected to hughstimson.org/photos/?g2_path=2009/05/07/blog-title I have permalinks turned on in wordpress (so that in the above example, the url is /2009/06/07/blog-title rather than just /?p=123). Turning them off fixes the redirection to G3, but breaks incoming links to my site. My gallery2 installation at /gallery/ seems to be working fine, and I can still access the wordpress administration files at /wp/. I'm guessing this conflict is due to a customization I've made to my setup rather than the fault of G3, but I can't figure out what it might be. I've looked through my root .htaccess, and while my gallery2 install has some code inserted there, I can't find anything new from gallery3. Any thought? G3 generally looks fantastic. |

An update:
It looks like the problem stems from having G3 installed in a directory with the same name ("photos") as my root album in G2, while having the G2 rewrite module operating. Deactivating and uninstalling the G2 rewrite module and removing it's entries in .htaccess solved the conflict.
I'm still not sure what the specific problem was, but this looks like a workaround for now.

Glad to hear you resolved this. Cleaning up the Gallery3 urls is on our roadmap for the 3.0 release.
