Invalid Image error

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://foto.udr.be/gallery
Gallery version:1.5.7
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):
Graphics Toolkit: netpbm
Operating system: linux
Web browser/version (if applicable):

The gallery worked fine for more than a year, but now suddenly when I try to upload a picture, I get the error: Invalid image. I tried several other images and always the same error.

Can anybody help me with this ? I also installed the new 1.5.10 on a different folder on the same server, and here also the same error.

This is the error I get, using the form based method:

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/vhosting/17/udr.be/www/foto/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 36

Warning: getimagesize(/home/vhosting/17/udr.be/www/foto/gallery/albums/album03/eerselingen_24_mei_002.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/vhosting/17/udr.be/www/foto/gallery/lib/imageManipulation.php on line 592

Problem solved, because no one answers here, I contacted other people who took the time to assist...
